SONRIS Document Access Main Menu

Begin your search for the documents you need to find and view...

Press the Search link on the Document Access Main Menu and the Search Screen will be displayed for you, as shown below. Note that this screen gives you the ability to choose from various document types, such as Office of Conservation Field Orders and Production Cards. Over time, more file sources are being scanned and made available to you. Drop-down menu items allow you to select the DNR Office and the Document Type you want to find and view. Once you specify that information, the indexes available will shorten depending on the Document Type you selected. If you know more information, such as a Field Code or Date, please specify those item. This will speed your search and provide you a better "hit list" of available documents.

Let's try an example...

Let's assume you are looking for an Office of Conservation Field Order, dated between January 1, 1946 and July 30, 1946. Your search would look like that shown below, and then press the EXECUTE SEARCH button.

SONRIS then will execute your search and display a "hit list" of documents that match your criteria...

Note the list of documents in the bottom panel of the window...up to four pages of the list will be provided to you. In this example, SONRIS located 73 documents that met our criteria. Note that the "hit list" of found documents is two pages in length, and you are being shown Page 1 of 2. To display a particular document, click on the FileNet IDM Viewer Icon icon. SONRIS will then initiate the IDM Viewer in a separate browser window and display your document. In our example, let's assume we want to display the second document in the hit list, the one dated 5/26/46, for Conservation Field Code 1848, Conservation Field Order (or Reference Number) 110-A, a two page document.
